The deed did two things:
It added a covenant to the Title Deed ensuring that the playing field could only be used for recreational purposes for the benefit of the residents of Whatton and Aslockton and;
it created a Charitable Trust – The Whatton and Aslockton Playing Field Trust’ with the Parish Councils as Trustees.
The Parish Councils as Trustees delegated the authority to manage and develop the Playing Field to a Management Committee. The Trustees maintain oversight of the Committees activities.
The Parish Councils continue to support the Playing Field financially with both Revenue (annually) and Capital grants.
