Planning Committee

Planning Committee which checks planning applications paying attention to:

  • Representing local views
  • Providing local knowledge
  • Raising areas of concern
  • Informing the debate and add value to the process

Playing Field Committee

The Playing Field Committee is an OUTSIDE Committee to which the Parish Council has the right to appoint two members.

The Playing Field Committee manages the Playing Field on the authority of the Trustees (Whatton-in-the-Vale and Aslockton Parish Councils) of the Whatton and Aslockton Playing Field Trust.

Members appointed to the Committee are not representatives of the Parish Council, but members of the Committee in their own right. They must always act in the best interest of the Whatton and Aslockton Playing Field Trust and may not be influenced in their decisions by the Parish Council.

Members to this Committee are appointed annually (at the Annual Parish Council Meeting) in May of each year. The current members are:

Entertainment Committee

The Entertainment Committee is a Parish Council Committee with the remit to manage and develop entertainment projects. The Committee has the authority to co-opt such non-voting members as the committee sees fit. The Committee is allocated expense authority as and when required by the Full Parish Council.

Environment Committee

Oversight of Queens Wood and all other matters to do with the natural environment of the village.
